Stop thinking you can never fail;
It deprived you of your smile.
Why is your self-esteem so frail?
What have you done that's so vile?
So you got mad at somebody;
Stop thinking you can never fail.
Emotions don't make you shoddy;
Please cast off your self-loathing veil.
You want to cry? Go ahead, wail!
Your tears have been locked up too long!
Stop thinking you can never fail!
You say it makes you weak? You're wrong!
I'm sorry. I just wish you'd see
That being human does entail
Mistake after mistake, so please
Stop thinking you can never fail.

Just An Average Grocery Run
Erica became concerned. She was roaming the halls of her local Stop and Shop, stocking up on groceries. She was due to have a baby in the coming days, but her doctors had told her she'd have a few more days to go before going to the hospital and getting induced (that is, if the baby didn't do it for her). Her black tank top flimsily covered her massive belly as she could feel her chest getting tighter. It didn't help that she was wearing tight jeans as well. As she began to roam the store, looking for a few more items, she suddenly felt an alarming tightness in her lower abdomen that would persist for almost ten seconds at a time in thirty-second intervals. Her eyes widened in shock- she was having contractions in the store! "No, no... baby... let mom... finish shopping before you.... come out...." Wearily, she waddled and trudged around, frantically looking at her shopping list while trying to ignore the contractions. As she went to grab a gallon of milk, she suddenly felt a

Lullaby 1 - Dream Stalker's secret Appearances
'The Dream Stalker appears out of shades, he comes in twilight, waits in your daydream.' A world, a mountain, at the same time a city. The masonry slowly grew up as a huge plant, crisscrossed with rooms and technology, a city, yes, bizarre and yet the nest of diversity. It was night all the time. Above, one looked into the vastness between many worlds, all colors shimmering from the mysteries out there. An unexplored beauty. There was no more natural light here. But the upper levels of the city-world 'Lullaby' obscured even the view. At the bottom: A young man in elegant robes strode down a dirty, wet street. People lingered at its edges. Haze, mist and spicy smoke were in the air. People were drinking, making conversation in hushed tones, or 'spouting' rumors. Mendacious gossip as passengers of musty ships emerged from the mouths of the heedless, their breath inflating the sails - their journey led in every direction. The young man was lost in daydreaming. He was a

New Game TG TF 30 - Happiness and Sadness
Gloria stared in the mirror the next morning. and sighed. She looked so old and she knew it would not be long until her new form would take over. She put on a long red dress, a pair of sunglasses to cover her all blue eyes and a black headscarf before leaving her room. She went downstairs and saw the two girls she had been mentoring Eliza and Celine cleaning the kitchen. 'Good morning Mrs Grace.' Eliza said. She wore a light red dress, white glasses and her red hair up in a bun. She resembled a redheaded younger Mrs Grace. She had learnt a lot and Gloria liked having her around. 'Good morning Eliza, 'Gloria said. 'And the same to you Celine.' 'Thank you Mrs Grace.' Celine said. She had on a long blue dress with her brunette hair worn down and in a hairband. Celine had not done as well as her friend but had become a competent cook. She had put on a little weight and her face was rounder. Despite this she seemed happier and had a much kinder relationship with her friend. Gloria smiled and told both girls she was proud of them. 'Mrs Grace.' Eliza said. 'What is the plan for today?' 'Today girls,' Gloria said calmly. 'You shall be learning from Diana.' She made herself a cup of tea and went to sit in the lounge. Eliza had finished cleaning before her friend and went over to talk to Mrs Grace. 'Mrs Grace.' She said politely. 'How are you today.' 'I am...well Eliza.' Gloria said pausing as she did not want to worry the young girl. 'My friend loves to cook, there is a book she has which she follows religiously, I am sure you will learn a lot from her. 'Of course Mrs Grace.' Eliza said. 'Are you sure you are alright, you look tired.' 'I am fine.' Gloria said still in great pain. 'I am so proud of how well you have done here.' Eliza nodded as Gloria closed her eyes briefly before she heard a knock at the door. 'Eliza, please get the door for me.' She said. Eliza did so and Diana was at the door. 'Eliza,' She said to the girl. 'I trust Gloria is well.' Young Eliza paused briefly before nodding before letting Diana in. Diana was dressed in a green and white housedress with her blonde hair in a neat ponytail. She touched her glasses before she said, 'Gloria, I trust the girls have been behaving.' Gloria nodded to her friend before standing up and hugging her. Diana returned the hug but something felt odd to her. 'Are you sure you are well?' She asked. 'Of course I am.' Gloria said kindly. 'Well, as well as can be.' Diana frowned feeling her friend was hiding something but decided against pressing the matter. 'I have the girls today.' She said. Gloria nodded and said, 'Yes, they are both learning so much.' Diana smiled and nodded just before she checked her hair looked right in her compact mirror. 'You do look lovely today Diana.' Gloria said genuinely pleased to see her friend. 'Don't you agree girls?' Both Eliza and Celine nodded in agreement. 'Miss Johnson.' Celine asked. 'What are we cooking today?' Diana was surprised by the question and thought for a moment. 'I'll have a look in my book.' She said. The blonde checked her hair again and smiled. As Diana spoke to the girls Gloria felt her back. 'I don't have long.' She said to herself before smiling at seeing the girls and Diana interact. 'Celine, can you please get me a cup of tea?' She asked. Celine did so and Gloria sat and drank as she watched the others. After a few moments there was a knock at the door. 'Eliza, can you get the door for me?' Eliza did so. She opened the front door and Stephanie and Helena entered. Stephanie had on a blue t-shirt black framed glasses, a white jacket and blue jeans with her blonde hair down. Helena had her blonde hair in a braid and wore a simple black skirt suit. 'Thank you young lady.' Stephanie said to Eliza noting her resemblance to Gloria. Helena frowned, Gloria's house was a little too well decorated for her liking, almost too clean and tidy. She looked at Diana and stepped back, could that possibly be the same rough and ready Amazon she knew before? 'Girls,' Gloria said to Eliza and Celine. 'Can you give us a moment?' Eliza and Celine nodded and went into the kitchen. 'It's so good to have us all in the same room again.' She said still seated. Helena and Stephanie were a little unnerved about Gloria's calm tone and the change to Diana. 'All well dressed...well soon all well dressed. All 4 of us with blonde hair.' Helena noted it was unusual for Gloria to wear sunglasses indoors but noting what she saw yesterday she knew why she did it. Her once healthy friend looked tired. 'All 4 of us happy, or perhaps not.' Gloria said still without changing tone. 'You, happily married Helena, Diana no doubt soon to be, Stephanie a brilliant mind and me...' She leaned back. 'Gloria,' Diana said. 'What is the matter.' She took a step towards her. 'Me, in a state from which I'll never recover, head of a town where nobody is ever unhappy, nobody except me, I miss my husband so much ladies, perhaps one day I will meet him again.' Gloria said looking up. 'Stephanie, Helena perhaps I should find you both something to wear that's more fitting for here.' Helena went to say something but was nudged by Stephanie. 'Of course Gloria.' The doctor said mindful of her friends winged form. 'Very good.' Gloria said standing up. 'Girls, you can come back in now.' They did so and she hugged them both. 'Be good for Diana OK.' Both girls nodded, Eliza enthusiastically so. 'Perhaps you can take the girls to get their hair done and touch yours up too.' She said kindly to Diana giving her some money. 'Yes Mrs Grace,' Diana said. 'Eliza, Celine.' The girls followed Diana and left the house as Gloria went upstairs. 'I could have been anything I wanted to be, and the one thing I wanted to be was taken away,' Gloria said pulling out two dresses, one a brilliant blue ballgown, the other a simple sleeveless crimson dress which finished at the knees. 'Yes, these will be ideal for my friends.' She said. She closed her eyes, her back was hurting as her wings were trying to come out. She looked in the mirror, her hair was now white-blonde. She ran her fingers through her hair and sighed. What colour was her hair naturally now? She left her room and went back downstairs. 'For you both.' Gloria said handing them their respective dresses. 'And matching buns please.' 'We won't just join this town Gloria.' Helena said to her friend in frustration. 'I never mentioned anything about joining,' Gloria said firmly. 'I just want two of my closest friends to be well dressed and looking their best.' She took off her sunglasses showing her all ice blue eyes. 'I guess we can do that.' Helena said as she put on the crimson dress, similar to Diana she was not used to wearing dresses. 'Red to match your battling enthusiasm, Miss Wolf,' Gloria said kindly. 'And you Stephanie in an elegant ballroom befitting your beauty, whatever form that will be in. Please both of you have a seat, the girls have made some tea.' Helena and Stephanie did as instructed now dressed as Gloria asked and with matching hairstyles. 'I am still not comfortable with this at all.' Helena said. 'Gloria has gone mad.' Stephanie looked up before shaking her head, her ears becoming webbed as she was transforming into her siren form. 'It would be unwise to anger a Goddess, besides that dress looks great on you.' Helena smiled and nodded, 'Yes indeed you look very pretty Stephanie.' She closed her eyes and felt awkward. She knew that whilst Stephanie was very intelligent and had the gift of beauty she unfortunately could not control her transformation. Helena herself could control her transformation into the wolf but could Gloria truly control her own transformation? Could a human, a strong human but still a human truly harbour a Goddess? Helena had faced Gloria once in her winged form and had been defeated easily. She thought deeply until Gloria returned. 'Tea and more tea,' Gloria said giving them both a cup before sitting down. She winced in pain as she sipped. 'You did not invite us to drink tea and dress up Gloria.' Helena said sitting up straight. 'Well that was not the only reason Helena,' Gloria said firmly. 'But one of the reasons.' Her two friends listened. 'I don't have long friends,' Gloria said. 'I am in great pain, I can't keep the Goddess under control much longer and for what, even with the powers of a God I cannot bring my husband back.' 'Gloria, what are you saying?' Stephanie asked not noticing her own hands becoming webbed. 'Death is permanent, there are no second chances.' Gloria said her voice sounding hollow. 'Teaching those two girls make me wonder what might have been...if Richard was still here.' She put down the cup she was holding, stood up crossed her arms and stared right at her friends. 'Gloria,' Helena said in concern standing up. 'Stand back,' Stephanie told her friend. 'Thank you my dearest friends,' Gloria said her voice sounding solemn. 'Please be well, Diana and the girls too.' Her eyes shone a brighter blue as a ripping sound was heard. 'Gloria, hold on.' Helena said mindful of what was coming. Gloria's dress ripped and began to glow as she grew a foot taller now standing over 7 foot tall. Two magnificent wings came out of her back and stood out grandly. The wings were black and leathery but at the same time elegant. Helena and Stephanie both nervously took a step back. Gloria's long hair turned from its current white blonde to a beautiful golden blonde before tying itself in an immaculate high ponytail held in a black metallic ring. Gloria continued to stare at her friends as her dress modelled itself into a black one-shouldered backless dress which went down to her feet. Her shoes had changed into black elegant sandals. She had a strange natural glow to her and her all blue eyes shone like sapphires. She uncrossed her arms and looked at the friends. 'Gloria?' Helena asked. 'Mrs Grace is a most impressive vessel,' The Goddess said. 'Indeed quite brilliant.' She spread her wings and stood firmly. 'She's gone?' Helena said in disbelief. 'With mine and Stephanie's other forms we can return back to our natural human form.' 'As could Gloria,' The Goddess said her voice firm. 'At least she used to be able to, now as my loyal subordinates kneel before me.' Stephanie did so. Helena noticed that her friend's fingers were webbed. 'As you wish, my Goddess.' Stephanie said. 'Yes, a smart vessel for the siren,' The Goddess said as she stepped towards Stephanie and lifted up her head. 'And a beautiful one, almost as beautiful as me.' 'Do as our Goddess says Helena.' Stephanie said in a lyrical voice as she went to kneel next to the Goddess. Stephanie was now in her siren form, her ballgown dress had become a sky blue swimsuit whilst her glasses had transformed into a dark blue collar. 'Now Madam Wolf.' The Goddess said calmly. 'Take your place beside me, unless you wish to taste defeat again. Helena noticed her blonde hair had come loose and her wedding ring had started to float in the air. 'Not my wedding ring, please,' Helena said upset. 'The happiest day of my life.' She grimaced as she watched the ring turn into a blood red collar of her own which clamped around her neck. She fell to her knees. 'Perhaps it was,' The Goddess said coldly. 'But now you are wedded to serving me Madam Wolf.' 'My name is Helena.' The blonde responded as her skirt suit started to rip. She started to breathe heavily as she transformed. 'And you shall be Madam Wolf forevermore.' The Goddess said as she watched Golden Fur started to cover Helena. Helena went to say something but was silent momentarily came out as her face became more lupine. 'This can't be.' She growled noticing her fingernails turning to sharp claws with red tips. Helena stood up as she became more muscular. She had transformed into her wolf form before but this time it felt stronger, much stronger as if initiated by the Goddess herself. Helena looked at her fast transforming body, her fur was now golden instead of red, her eyesight was keener, she winced as her ears moved to the top of her head peeking out from her long hair. She was breathing heavily and did not even flinch when she realised she now had a tail. Her red dress was ripped to shreds with only the slimmest of layers protecting her modesty. She felt so strong but also angry. She let out a loud howl before saying, 'Goddess.' 'Madam Wolf, please by my side.' The Goddess said with kindness. Helena did so, she continued to breathe heavily. Was she stuck like this now her ring was gone.? She looked at Stephanie who had a look of calmness compared to her own frustration. 'My two favourites,' The Goddess said as two four more arms appeared on her torso before going back in. 'The Siren and Madam Wolf, my two most loyal subjects.' She smiled. Helena thought for a moment, if there was any Gloria left in there that was not strictly true. She growled a little as she thought. 'Do you have something to say Madam Wolf?' The Goddess asked. 'Yes...my Goddess.' Helena said after some quick thinking. 'Glory to the Goddess.' 'Glory to the Goddess.' Stephanie sang. 'Yes, we all have an understanding.' The Goddess said smiling.

I hope today is the start of me finally overcoming the struggles that I've been facing for such a long time. I want to move on and cherish what life has to offer; here's to this poem being the start of that.
It's an Empat Empat (that's fun to say ). The Empat Empat form is a Malaysian form that features refrains and rhymes.It consists of four quatrains with a staircase refrain of the first line embedded. Syllabic count can be 4, 8, or 10 per line, so it is up to you. The rhyme scheme is Abab cAca adAd eaeA. I chose to write about a person dealing with crippling self-esteem issues. A dear friend calls out to them to accept their imperfections, which is where this quote comes in:
"You don't love someone because they're perfect, you love them in spite of the fact that they're not." - Jodi Picoult, My Sister's Keeper
This poem is for both 's February Form Fiesta 2017 and 's Valentine's Contest.
It felt really good, getting this in just before the deadline. I think this is what I needed to spark the start of a turnaround.

Hi everyone . Welcome back to another February Form Fiesta! Talk about a crazy start to 2017 amirite? Political unrest, insane weather and emotions soaring high as we endeavour to find some common or stable ground. While this is not going to be a political post, because we have plenty of political posts online, I just want to turn your collective attentions to a new show on Netflix called One Day At A Time. It's a revamp of the old classic, except with a Cuban-American family. It is fricken brilliant and I hope these gifs inspire you to binge on it. I have watched the season three times already and still can't get enough. I NEED MORE!

Great message in a well-written poem. The rhyme scheme really works here; it naturally carries the message without feeling forced. Wonderful work.
